Just Steps for Android · package in.myinnos.steps
Last updated 31 July 2026

Just Steps reads your step count from Health Connect so it can show today's total and the last seven days. It collects nothing about you, and it cannot send data anywhere.

No tracking, no data collection

Just Steps contains no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting and no third-party tracking of any kind. Nothing you do in the app is recorded, profiled, shared, sold or transferred to anyone.

This is enforced by the app itself, not only promised: Just Steps does not request the Android internet permission, so it has no technical ability to transmit data off your device.

Health data we access

Just Steps requests a single Health Connect permission:

It is used only to display your step total for today and a seven-day history inside the app. The data is read when you open the app and discarded when you leave it. No copy is kept.

Just Steps accesses no other health or fitness data: not location, heart rate, sleep, weight or exercise sessions. It never writes to, alters or deletes anything in Health Connect; access is read-only.

Health data is never used for advertising or marketing, never shared with third parties, and never transferred to any server.

What is stored on your device

Just Steps saves your preferences in its own private storage on your phone:

That is all. These settings never leave the device and are not linked to any identifier.

Estimated figures

The distance and energy values shown are calculated from your step count using a fixed average stride length and energy cost. They are approximations, not measurements, and are not derived from any additional data about you.

Your control and data deletion

You can withdraw Just Steps' access to your health data at any time in the Health Connect settings on your phone, reachable from the app's own settings screen. The app will then simply show nothing.

Because Just Steps stores no health data, there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf. Uninstalling the app removes its saved preferences. Your Health Connect records belong to Health Connect and are unaffected by uninstalling Just Steps.

Children

Just Steps is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone, regardless of age.
